Layered milaythina / Country
Created for the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre, Healthy Country Unit, Layered milaythina / Country explores Country as living, connected and ever-changing. Flowing layers and circles reflect connection, continuity and the relationships between land, sea, sky and people, inviting each viewer to find their own meaning within the artwork.
The Quiet Pull
The Quiet Pull represents the quiet, enduring connections that continue to exist, even when we are apart. Each circle follows its own path while remaining connected to the whole, symbolising the people and places that continue to draw us back with a sense of belonging.
'What reminds you of home?'
Collaborating with children from the Connected Beginnings Lutruwita Little Committee, I transformed their drawings and ideas of "home" into a contemporary artwork, reproduced on mesh fencing surrounding a new community housing development.
minanya milaythina / river country
Created a contemporary artwork, minanya milaythina / river country that was licensed for use throughout the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre's Strategic Plan. Individual elements were extracted from the artwork to create a cohesive visual identity across the publication.
